Kristine Aadland, DMD

Dr. Aadland completed her undergraduate work at Oregon State University and subsequently went to Oregon Health Sciences University for dental school. In 2006, she graduated with Clinical Honors. Her goal was always to have her own practice, so she set out to build her dream practice from the ground up in 2009. Dr. Aadland chose to differentiate herself in a competitive marketplace by creating a beautiful, spa-like dental office that utilized technology to make her better and more efficient than other practices. The cornerstone of this technology was Sirona’s CEREC and Galileos products. In 2011, the Vancouver Community awarded her the distinction of “Accomplished and Under 40 Class”. Dr. Aadland has been nominated by the Vancouver Business Journal as one of the fastest-growing businesses in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2015. As a Mentor for CEREC doctors, the forum and Scottsdale facility have also created a place for her to grow and refine her skills. Dr. Aadland travels extensively now for CEREC training and ACCEPT courses.

Tarun Agarwal, DDS

Tarun Agarwal, DDS is considered one of the top dentists in the country. He is a recognized speaker, author, and dental leader. He has been featured on CBS, NBC, ABC, and News 14 Carolina. Brian Baliwas, DDS

Dr. Baliwas received his undergraduate in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UC Davis, followed by post-baccalaureate studies in Human Anatomy and Physiology at the University of Oregon. He received his doctorate in dentistry from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, where he graduated with high honors and was elected to join both Omicron Kappa and Tau Kappa Omega dental honor societies. Farhad E. Boltchi DMD, MS

Dr. Boltchi received his dental degree from the Medical University of Hannover in Germany and a Certificate in Periodontics associated with a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Boltchi is a faculty member of SPEAR/CerecDoctors.com, and also maintains a full-time private practice in Periodontics and Dental implants in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. He teaches and lectures extensively both nationally and internationally on the topics of advanced Periodontics and Dental Implants with a particular emphasis on Esthetic Implant Dentistry, Periodontal Plastic Surgical Procedures, and digital implant dentistry and is also actively involved with clinical research projects in these topics. Daniel Butterman, DDS

Greg Campbell, DDS

Greg Campbell, D.D.S. is recognized nationally and internationally as an expert on Integrating CAD/CAM dentistry into offices and is frequently sought out by industry leaders to lecture about digital dentistry. Dr. Campbell is highly entertaining and has an expansive understanding of CAD/CAM technology. He has helped develop seamless protocols for “Computer-Guided Implant Surgery”; he trains other dentists how to use this technology and is a certified advanced and basic CEREC trainer for Patterson Dental. Daniel Cullum, DDS

Dr. Daniel Cullum completed his DDS with distinction at the University of Alberta, Canada, and residency training at Westchester Medical Center, New York. Dr. Cullum is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is on faculty as a Visiting Lecturer at Loma Linda University, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and UCLA, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He speaks internationally and has contributed articles and textbook chapters on implant reconstruction. At Implants Northwest (Coeur d’Alene, ID), he practices Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with an emphasis on immediate and minimally invasive techniques in esthetic implant reconstruction. Dr. Cullum is also president of Implants Northwest LIVE Learning Center, which emphasizes training in advanced techniques for surgeon/restorative teams using LIVE surgery and hands-on application.

Luiz H. Gonzaga, DDS, MS

Luiz H. Gonzaga, DDS, MS graduated from the Catholic University of Brasilia College of Dentistry in 2004. After working in private practice and taking perio/implants CE courses for one year he was accepted for the Implant/Periodontic specialty training, graduating in 2009. Dr. Gonzaga was awarded with the ITI scholarship in 2009 and completed his Implant fellowship the next year. He completed a residency program and Maters in Prosthodontics from the University of Florida in 2014. Currently he is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Florida Center for Implant Dentistry. Giles B Horrocks DDS, MS

Giles B. Horrocks DDS, MS is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, College of Dentistry. He completed his specialty training in Periodontology in the Department of Medicine and Surgery at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Horrocks received a Master of Science degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the School of Dental Medicine at the University of Colorado and is a diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology. He has spoken nationally and internationally on Advanced Piezosurgery and Controlled Assisted Ridge Expansion (CARE). He has written a chapter on “Piezo-Assisted Ridge Expansion” in a textbook on advanced piezosurgery and has a recent publication in the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry on the CARE approach to Ridge Expansion. He has just recently published a chapter on periodontal and peri-implant soft tissue surgery in the Wiley textbook Minimally Invasive Surgery for Dental Implants. He limits his practice to Periodontics with a focus on dental implant-related surgery. 

Jedediah Huss, DDS

Dr. Jedediah V. Huss received his doctorate in dental surgery from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. He currently holds the status of Master with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and is an official Nobel Biocare lecturer regarding implant dentistry. Dr. Huss has published multiple articles related to dental implants and is the founder of Restored Smiles which allows him the freedom to lecture and educate his peers nationally to turn knowledge into action in everyday dental practice. Dr. Huss currently practices within Los Angeles and Ventura counties and dedicates much of his efforts within his offices toward cosmetic and implant dentistry while offering I.V. sedation. Fouad Khoury, D.M.D, DDS., PH.D., Prof., Dr. Med. Dent.

Prof. Dr. Khoury received his dental education at St. Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon. Specialization in Oral Surgery at the Universities of Freiburg and Muenster, Germany. He was an Assistant Professor at the University of Muenster completing his Ph.D. and scientific habilitation Degree. He has since been a 1994 full professor at the Department of Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgery of the University of Muenster and Chairman of the  Privatklinik Schloss Schellenstein, Olsberg, Germany. Prof. Khoury has several patents, more than 110 Publications, 3 Textbooks, and 800 lectures/courses and is a member of the Editorial Board of different journals.

James Klim, DDS

Founded and directed by James Klim DDS, the Klim Institute/CADStar’s is a dental postgraduate center with the purpose to develop and educate dentists and the dental team on systematic techniques to simplify chairside 3D and CAD/CAM (CEREC) dentistry through hands-on courses and online CEREC training. Athas Kometas, DMD, PA

Dr. Kometas earned his dental degree from the University of Florida Dental School graduating with High  Honors ( top 5% ). Upon graduation, he was selected for a General Practice Residency in the US Navy under the tutelage of a Maxillofacial Prosthodontist. Joe Mehranfar, DMD, MS

Dr. M. Joe Mehranfar is one of the outstanding dental implantology practitioners in Arizona. After receiving an MS degree in microbiology from Southern Illinois University, Dr. Mehranfar completed his dental education at Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, followed by comprehensive implant training. Stavros Pelekanos, DDS

Dr. Stavros Pelekanos received his undergraduate degree in Dentistry (D.D.S.) in 1991 from the University of Athens, Greece. In 1993, he obtained his doctoral degree in Prosthodontics (Dr. med. dent.) from the University of Freiburg (Prof. Dr. J.R. Strub), Germany. Following his professional training, Dr. Pelekanos established a private practice in Athens, oriented toward prosthodontics, implantology, and esthetic dentistry. In 2002, he was appointed full-time Lecturer at the Department of Prosthodontics, Dental School, University of Athens, Greece, and is now Assistant Professor in the same department. Since 2013 he is an active member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED). His professional affiliations include the International College of Prosthodontics (ICP), the European Prosthodontic Association (EPA), the Greek Prosthodontic Association, and many others. He is a faculty member of gIDE Institute (Global Institute of Dental Education, Los Angeles, California) and Dental Tribune CME, lecturing internationally and performing hands-on courses on implants, esthetics, and restorative procedures. In 2008 and 2011, Dr. Pelekanos received second and first prize at the scientific award competition of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry held in Madrid, Spain, and Istanbul, Turkey respectively. Peyman Raissi, DDS

Dr. Peyray, as he is more affectionately known, graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2014. Upon graduation, he began a brief stint with Affordable Dentures and Implants, and in just weeks became one of the biggest producing dentists in the practice. Additionally, he was able to complete 900 hours of CE in his two years there. After two years, Raissi’s passion to keep pushing himself led him to start his own practice in Nashville, Tennessee. John Russo, DDS, MHS

John Russo, DDS, MHS is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He completed his periodontal training and earned a Master's in Health Sciences degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Russo is a Diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is in private practice in Sarasota, FL, and is a clinical assistant professor at the Medical University of South Carolina in the Division of Periodontics. He is an author and an international lecturer on bone grafting and dental implant surgery. Dr. Russo serves on the Executive Council for the Southern Academy of Periodontology, Council / Section Editor for Implant Dentistry, and Editorial Board of the Journal of Clinical and Practical Oral Implantology. He also served as program chair for the International Congress of Oral Implantologists Spring Symposium 2010. Dr. Russo is the course director for a bone and soft tissue hands-on cadaver course held at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Troy A. Schmedding DDS, AAACD

Dr. Troy A. Schmedding graduated from the University of Puget Sound before getting his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1993. For 17 years, Dr. Schmedding successfully maintained a solo dental practice in Seattle, WA before relocating with his family to California to pursue his interest in educating a future generation of dentists. After 5 years as assistant professor in the Department of Reconstructive Dental Sciences and co-course director for Intergrated Pre-Clinical Technique at UOP Dentistry, he realized he missed direct patient interaction and purchased his current practice in Walnut Creek. In addition to teaching, Dr. Schmedding enjoys lecturing nationally and internationally to fellow colleagues on restorative and aesthetic dentistry. Dr. Schmedding has received accreditation with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, one of approximately 600 dentists worldwide to have achieved this distinction. He also serves as a Key Opinion Leader for leading clinical material manufacturers. In his spare time, Dr. Schmedding enjoys sharing his love of fly fishing and all things outdoors with his two children and wife of 23 years.

Grant Selig, DDS

Dr. Grant Selig has successfully placed more than 30,000 implants in over twenty-nine years. These applications ranged from edentulous ridges to partially edentulous sites, including multiple grafting procedures with sinus lifts and hip grafts. During this time he has lectured and trained implant clinicians worldwide contributed, produced, or been involved with the development of various products and significant surgical techniques, currently in use today for numerous implant manufacturers. Dr. Selig was a clinical adviser for the development of a leading manufacturer’s dental implant and surgical kits. He provided a plethora of data on the immediate placement of dental implants into fresh extraction sites more than two decades ago. He was the first to pioneer the surgical technique of determining single-stage vs. two-stage procedures, by the implementation of a torque device. This modality is currently advocated in the surgical protocols of various implant companies and is used by clinicians worldwide every day.

Dr. Jason Smithson

Qualified at the Royal London Hospital in 1995; achieving a number of awards including The Constance Klein Memorial, The Stafford Millar, and The Malcolm Jenkins Scholarships, The American Association of Endodontics Prize and the Overall Award for Clinical Dentistry. After spending 3 years in oral surgery residency in London and a further year practicing restorative dentistry in London’s Harley Street Medical District, he relocated to Cornwall in the extreme southwest of England. Jason practices at Pure Dental Health and Wellbeing, Cornwall, UK where his main focus is microscope enhanced adhesive dentistry. His specific interest is direct composite resin artistry and minimally invasive all ceramic restorations.

Larissa Steigmann, DMD, MS

Larissa Steigmann received her first dental degree (D.M.D) from the Goethe University of Frankfurt in 2019. She then continued her education at the University of Michigan in the Periodontics & Oral Medicine Master Program. Concomitant to her Periodontal Specialty, she obtained her Master of Science in Periodontology (M.S.) and graduated in 2022. Dr. Steigmann conducted numerous research projects in the field of oral health and implant rehabilitation, of which several have been published in peer-reviewed international journals. Additionally, she serves as a reviewer for journals in the field of periodontology and implant dentistry. Since 2022, she has been a member of the faculty at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in the Department of Oral Medicine, Infection, and Immunity, Division of Periodontology where she compassionately supports the dental education of students. Concomitantly she works in the Giannobile Lab and pursues research directed towards personalized medicine. Dr. Steigmann received multiple awards including the Jefferey Johnston Fellowship, LeGro Scholarship, Billy A. Smith Award for exemplary communication skills and empathy in patient care, as well as the prestigious Dr. and Mrs. Kramer Scholar Award of Excellence which is awarded by the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation for excellence in both character and academic achievement, personal motivation and personal integrity exemplified by leadership, community involvement, and concern for the needs of others.

Istvan Urban, DMD

Dr. Urban received his DMD degree and subsequently his MD degree from Semmelweis University School of Medicine and Dentistry (Budapest, Hungary) in 1991 and 1996. He completed a full-time program in oral surgery at St. Istvan Hospital in Budapest, Hungary (1992-1996). He completed his internship program in Periodontics at UCLA. After he graduated from the Fellowship Program (1999-2000) in Implant Dentistry at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California, he was appointed assistant professor the following year. Dr. Urban teaches implant dentistry in the graduate program at Loma Linda University. He is licensed in the state of California (USA) and has a private practice in Budapest, Hungary. Dr. Urban received his Ph.D. degree in Periodontology in 2012 at the University of Szeged, Hungary. He is currently an honorary professor at the University of Szeged.
